The Brantford City Special Stars Soccer League was designed for children on the Autism Spectrum
to be able to participate in a recreational sport and not feel pressure from their peers if their skill
level is not the same. Quite often, we as parents of ASD children also feel conflicted since we
want our child to be included in as many normal activities as possible; however, due to the
developmental, communication and social delays our children have, it makes it very difficult.
Our main goal for this league is for the kids to have fun and learn some basic soccer skills at
their own pace in a supportive, non-judgemental environment where the many sides of Autism
are understood and accepted. Once in this setting, your child will flourish and most likely
surprise you with his/her potential. Come and join in on the fun!!
